Amanda Brake is an English artist whose love of colour and creativity took root in her childhood in Poole, Dorset. Growing up by the coast and countryside, she was surrounded by natural beauty and encouraged to notice the small details of light, texture, and atmosphere.

 

At school, Amanda consistently achieved high grades in art, and her teachers quickly recognised both her technical ability and her imaginative, expressive approach.

Art was also part of her family life. Her father was an artist, and his influence helped to nurture her confidence and curiosity. Drawing and painting were never just hobbies, but a natural way for Amanda to explore her feelings, observations, and sense of the world around her.

As her practice developed, Amanda expanded her creativity into different projects and opportunities.

 

She has illustrated a children’s story, bringing narrative and character to life through her use of vibrant colour and gentle, expressive mark-making. Committed to continuous growth, she is also a member of the Milan Art Institute, where she has deepened her skills, refined her style, and connected with an international community of artists.
